Ali Abdel Mohsen (b. 1984) is an Egyptian artist who lives and works in Cairo. He uses line drawings and acrylic color on the surfaces of cardboard boxes to convey his impressions of decline in contemporary Egypt: on the political, social and human level. A self-taught artist, he chooses the medium of disused cardboard boxes as a way of conveying the primitive aesthetics of his message.
