PICTURES: HEYA FEL CINEMA AND YOMNA KHATTAB

Medrar Studio had the pleasure of hosting Heya Fel Cinema (هي في السينما)’s Writing and Development workshop led by Yomna Khattab. Over the course of 5 days from the 28th of June to the 2nd of July, 25 women got introduced to the essentials of making and developing short films.

Focusing on character development and cinematic composition, the participants got to discuss the role of women in front and behind the camera. The workshop also invited women filmmakers Noha Adel, Doha Hamdy, Menna Ekram , Dina El Hawary , Nadia Ghanem, Salma Salem and Sondos Shabayek to screen their films and partake in a Q&A about their work.
